        I would have to disagree with you here.  Most players who have
deceided to take the college route have done so because they want to continue
their education while trying to attain their hockey goals.
 
        If a player was only interested in getting to 'The Show' there are
better ways to get there.  For example the WHL.  Players in this league have
one priority and that is going to the pros.  Their education is usually put
off to the side until thier careers are finished.
 
        One taking the college route, has to maintain his marks to stay on
the team.  I feel the college system is a very good way for a player to
further both his education and career.
 
        It is true that education will suffer due to hockey, but that can be
said of any extra-curricular activity.
