the red foxes had a fine home opener against division rival siena
college on saturday 10/30. the team played well as a whole in the
5-2 victory. Goals were scored by defenseman tom regan, forwards
john lloyd , Noel smith, dave closinski, and kent rienhart. The
team performed well for the packed arena.
THe icers continued their play against fordham universitiy on thurs.
Senior forward scott brown netted three shorthanded goals to give
the foxes a 5-0 victory. it is clear that brown's semester of
playing in russia had a great impact on him. he will be sorley missed
when he returns after this semester. on an up note, the freshman players
are showing increased confidence with each game. Defensemen Schyuler
woods and Grayson dewitt are proving excellent smarts while up front
Joe accisano is playing well. also of notable mention is bob perssons,
who stepped into the line up on saturday and played acceptional.
Marist takes on Hudson valley college on friday, and albany state
at home on saturday.
