From the Star Tribune Minnesota Scene column this morning:
 
University of Minnesota-Duluth center Derek Plante and Gophers defenseman
Travis Richards have been named the WCHA players of the week.
 
Plante had two goals and six points in a two-game sweep of St Cloud State.
Richards had three goals and stood out on defense as Minnesota earned a 4-4
tie with Wisconsin and a 4-2 victory over the Badgers.
