I agree with Jack McDonald, and I think to his credit he raised
this issue long before any team in the MAAC will have a chance to be in the
Top 25. The more the merrier, within reason. As a certain political
party learned the hard way this Fall, it pays to be more inclusive rather
than less.
On a related topic, I was out of town last night and searched in
vain for the UConn vs. Army score on the CNN banner scroll. I saw
Harvard/BU, Cornell/Northeastern, and some others, but not the game I
really wanted to see. It would have been a nice to see a MAAC team there.
The MAAC SID's should take note. A *lot* of free advertising is out there
for the asking guys .... Couldn't hurt the recruiting either. When the
NBA gets going again, that space on the scroll may not be available
anymore.
