A story today corroborates what Kevin Ames posted on Monday from the St.
Paul Pioneer Press.  According to two sources in the athletic department,
UNO appears poised to submit an official application for membership into
the CCHA.  The CCHA commisioner has indicated that the application would
be voted on Aug 17th, and while not a "lock", looked very favorable to UNO
being admitted.  The two sources also indicated there would be a
possibility of UNO being invited to participate in the CCHA playoffs this
season and receive a playoff revenue share.  If accepted, UNO would play a
CCHA schedule in 1999-2000.
