According to today's (Wednesday's) Troy Record (html://www.troyrecord.com/
and then go to Sports), RPI coach Dan Fridgen's contract has been extended
for two years through the 1999-2000 season.
As part of the usual discussion that the coach stresses academics over
hockey, the article mentioned that RPI goalie Joel Laing earned a 4.0
grade-point average in the first semester of his just-completed Freshman
year despite having been out of school for a couple of years.
