In the time between the tourny going to 8 teams in '81 and the departure of
the HE teams for '85, the ECAC had four seeds every year:
 
81: Colgate, Providence, Clarkson, Cornell
82: Clarkson, Harvard, UNH, Northeastern
83: SLU, Providence, Harvard, UNH
84: RPI, Clarkson, BC, BU
