It seemed to myself and many other people at Saturday's UMich/Wisc game
that there was a lot of confusion when or when not to play 4 on 4 when they
called coincidental penalties. The incident that stands out in my mind is
when a player from each team was given 4 min. for roughing(I think it was
roughing). The officials called for each team to put an extra man in the
box while they played 4 on 4 for two minutes. They then played the last 2
minutes of the penalties at 5 on 5. I know this was discussed recently
on Hockey-L but I would appreciate it if someone could clear up my
confussion. Thanks in advance!
