Instant replay was in use for the WCHA tournament. I don't know
what the procedure was, but I think (from the comments of the MSC
announcers) the ref had the option of asking the replay official
for a ruling. The replay official was another WCHA ref (Greg Shepherd
and Buzz Christiansen each did it for at least one game).

Accroding to the MSC announcers, the refs did not consult the
replay official on the goal in question. The MSC replay that I
saw did not show enough to see if CC was offsides. What I was
wondering about was if the initial dump in was an icing... which
the replay shown on TV did not show clearly either.
