Here are the standings in the world junior hockey championships after all
teams have played four games:

                W L F A P
Canada 4 0 31 10 8
Sweden 4 0 25 8 8
Finland 3 1 20 11 6
Russia 3 1 19 10 6
Czech Rep. 1 3 14 15 2
USA 1 3 14 22 2
Ukraine 0 4 6 24 0
Germany 0 4 5 34 0

Today is an off day for all teams. Tomorrow I will be attending both the
Finland-Canada and US-Germany games. Germany has really been the doormat
so far, so the US needs to win big to build up goal differential to have
any hopes at all. The paper did not even bother with an article on the
Russia Germany game since the German team is becoming an object of
ridicule here. I have not seen them yet, and based on accounts I'm glad
I'm only seeing them once.
