Brown keeps rolling right along, defeating Cornell tonight 4-2 at Meehan
Auditorium. Brown is now 5-0-0 (overall and ECAC). Freshman defenseman
Jimmy Anderson and junior forward Steve Kathol were suspended for tonight's
game after last night's post-game brawl with Colgate, but their replacements
easily filled their shoes. Freshman DJ Harding, in his first game for Brown,
poked a slapshot home from the blue line, and sophomore forward Scott
Bradford, replacing Kathol, also scored his first career goal. Also scoring
for the Bears were the usual two, Ryan Mulhern and Tony Martino, who each
have 6 goals in 5 games. Goalie Mike Parsons faced 47 Cornell shots (not
sure of the save count) and made several spectacular saves.
Brown will face a stiffer ECAC challenge next weekend when it hosts RPI and
Union.
