Herb Brooks did a little interview in SI when the US Olympic hockey team was
chosen Sportsmen of the Year in 1980, and he said that the last player he
cut from the team was New Hampshire's Ralph Cox.  He apparently had a tough
time doing it, too.
 
I think Vannelli was one of the final five or six cuts, though.
