Mike Machnik notes from the HE press release, 2/21/94:
[...]
>* Lowell freshman C/LW Greg Bullock became the first Chief rookie to
>hit the 50 point plateau since Jon Morris reached it in 1984-85, the
>first season of HE. Bullock's totals stand at 21-29--50, and he has a
>six-point lead over teammate Shane Henry in the HE overall scoring race.
[...]
Way to go Greg! Not only is he tops in HE scoring, but I believe Bullock
is the leading freshman scorer in the country! I don't know about the
other conferences, but here is a comparison of his stats with two
freshman stand-outs in the CCHA (courtesy of John H):
Team GP G A PT
Bullock, Greg UML 29 19 31 50
Morrison,Brendan UOM 32 18 21 39
Botterill,Jason UOM 28 17 16 33
Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to see Bullock play, but
from what I have garnered not only does he have a great combination of
size and speed like Jason Botterill, but the poise of a veteran to boot.
Hopefully, I'll get the chance to see him play this year in St. Paul!
Keep going strong Lowell!
