ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Harvard: Erin Villiotte, JR, G.  (Shrewsbury, MA)
Helped the Crimson to a 7th place finish stopping 87 of 91 shots
the last weekend.  Against PC Villiotte had 52 saves, including
20 in the second period.  If she stays hot in the playoffs ...
 
ECAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:
Providence: Alison Wheeler, FR, F.  (Waterbury, VT)
Scored the winning goal in OT to give the Friars the League title
over Northeastern.  Had 1 goal and 1 assist in 3-3 draw with Harvard.
If Wheeler and the PC 1st line get moving in the playoffs ...
 
ECAC NEWS:
Class of '97:  Karen Chernisky of Princeton, Katie King of Brown,
Corie Champagne of St. Lawrence and Barb Gordon of Colby all ended
the season as leading goal scorers for their teams.  Danielle Solari
of the Brown and Andrea Blakely of St. Lawrence were point leaders
for their teams.  AJ Mleczko of Harvard won both titles as she ended
a overall 20 game season with 30 goals and 19 assists.
Records:  Shelley Looney of Northeastern finished her senior year with
her 125th point against the Bears.  She is the 5th leading scorer in
Huskie history.  Harvard's 3-3 tie with PC was the first time the
Crimson had don anything but lose to the Friars.  Kathy Issel of
Princeton set a new school record with 39 assists.

Nan "Hat Trick" Gorton did it again (Wait a minute! Did she or didn't
she?!?  Inquiring minds want to know!  Polar alert: Did Nan do it again?)
Sasha Ballen of the Polar Bears got her first win and first shutout
in goal by blanking Wesleyan.
