UND lost forwards Brad DeFauw, Jason Ulmer and captain Adam
Calder and defensemen Trevor Hammer and Tim O'Connell with
fighting majors.
Duluth players ejected were forwards Rich Anderson, Curtis Bois,
Tom Nelson and Jeff Medak and defenseman Jesse Fibiger.
All 10 will miss the next game their teams play. That means the five
Sioux players will miss Friday's non-conference game against
Clarkson in Grand Forks while the five Bulldogs will miss Friday's
WCHA contest against Wisconsin in Duluth.
The Sioux will be short more than five players Friday. Senior center
Jason Blake, coming off a 5-point weekend against Duluth, will miss
the Clarkson series. He's playing with the U.S. Select team in a
World Championship qualifying tournament in Austria, the only
college player chosen for the team.
