Yes, I realize that the following is "taboo" on hockey-l, but I feel that
all of you should read this.
 
Grand Forks and East Grand Forks have been devestated by a 500 year
flood.  Tens of thousands of people have had their live completely
destroyed and will be without any housing for several months.  To make
matters
worse several of the buildings downtown are burning out of control and
will be lost.  If any of you can help, please contact the American Red Cross.
The situation is so bad that UND has cancelled classses for the semester
and everyone is being asked to leave and not return for 10 days.
 
I was evacuated from East Grand Forks last night, and I am afriad without
massive amounts of help, the cities may be permenately scared and
sections may be gone forever.
