So, let's see. For all 5 of these to come true we would need the following:

        Cornell beats Clarkson
        Michigan beats Michigan State
        Boston U. beats New Hampshire

The resulting rankings:

new index old index team old won new won
--------- --------- ---- ------- -------
   1 1 Michigan 20 20
   2 4 North Dakota 17 18
   3 2 Clarkson 19 18
   4 3 Minnesota 17 17
   5 12 Cornell 9 14
   6 5 New Hampshire 15 14
   7 6 Vermont 15 14
   8 7 Maine 15 14
   9 8 Boston University 13 13
  10 9 Michigan State 12 11
  11 10 Miami 11 10
  12 11 Denver 10 9
  13 13 Colorado College 9 9
  14 14 St Cloud 7 7
  15 15 Princeton 6 6
  16 16 Rensselaer 5 5

As you wrote, though, they would still be seeded third, since
BU would get the automatic bye.

And who would've thought one game could do so much!
