As y'all probably know by now, Cornell's Vinnie Auger was whistled for a
ten-minute misconduct in Saturday's game against Yale for playing without a
mouthguard. I'm curious about something, and I'm too lazy to look it up in the
rulebook (plus, I don't know where my copy is...)

There are two other penalties I can think of that deal with player equipment and
safety, playing without a helmet and playing with a broken stick. Both of these
are two-minute minor penalties, and I was wondering if either carried a
mandatory misconduct. I suspect they do... it would seem odd to me to toss a
player for ten minutes for failing to wear a mouthguard but for only two minutes
(although with a corresponding reduction in manpower for his team) for the
perhaps more serious helmet and stick violations.
