I would like to reply to Matt regarding hat tricks.  At the University of
Michigan, we do indeed through a hat onto the ice when someone scores a
hat trick.  I think it is a great custom.  By the way, a questions was asked
of me last night and I certainly didn't know the answer.  The questions was
"Where did the term `Hat Trick' originate?"  If anyone can answer that I
would really appreciate it.  Thanks
