I am curious to know why so many people on this list think that just
because MTU is in Michigan that they should be in the CCHA. Tech's
longest BUS trip of the year is when they go to GLI. They are about as
far west as Wisconsin (Madison). Pull out a globe or flat map, it's
pretty damn close! LSSU would be at least a 4.5 hr. bus ride, and they
are in the U.P.! It takes less time for Tech to get to Duluth and St.
Cloud than LSSU. As far as Denver, CC and UAA, it doesn't matter who
has to play them or what league they are in, as everybody has to fly
there anyway. MTU has stated time and time again that they are staying
in the WCHA, and I don't see a reason for them to leave. There has been
a lot of talk about the NCAA shuffling the leagues around. As far as I
am concerned, it's just talk and I don't think that they should change a
thing.
