SAVES
Army (Chretin) 11 6 10 27
Air Force (Blank) 6 15 15 35
4017 (a record) attended.
Air Force seemd to play with greater enthusiasm, hitting harder, and often
outskating Army to the puck. Chretin was screened on Roe's shot from the top
of the circle. Hard work in the corner by Rice & Courtney got the puck back to
the point for Ingraham's score.
Air Force broke the game open on Gallagher's goal just after killing a penalty.
Fancy passing in front of the net left Mantaro wide open from in close. Army
took away Blank's shutout after an Air Force giveaway in front of the net.
Referee Bunyan (from Hockey east) did a credible job, only upsetting the
partisan crowd on a few occasions. Air Force had 3 power plays, and it seemed
as if Army had more (the paper didn't print that)
Also in the paper, Colorado College beat Denver University 7-1.
I have another commitment tonight, so the report on tonights game will come
entirely from the paper (such as it is)
