The Clarkson Golden Knights defeated the Providence College
Friars by a final of 6-3 in the Rhode Island capital.
 
The Friars led 2-1 after the first but Clarkson scored
3 times ni the first 5:21 of the second period and led
5-3 after 2. Steve Palmer added a late empty netter
for the final margin of victory.
 
Defenseman Brian Mueller had a goal and 3 assists for the
Knights... the two squads meet again tommorow night
in Providence.
