Wait...I'm confused (and I should know, I've been there before).
I know that Wisconsin has a huge alumni following. In fact, I'd bet that
over 50% of the Wisconsin fans at Albany are alums from ... I'll guess a 6
hour driving radius.
Now, they don't refer to it as the Big 10 for nothing. Of the 17 largest
universities (1991 enrollments of undergrads only) 9 are Big 10++ (only Iowa
[33rd] and Northwestern [way down] are out), and Minnesota is way up there.
So, if UW puts 2000 alums in the Knick, why can't UM put 2000 alums in
Munn? A 6 hour drive from Munn includes Chicago, Indy, Ohio, lower Mich.
Granted 6 hours from Albany includes NYC and that area, but at least 1000
alums should make it.
Or do UW alums just tend to disperse (= geting the hell outta Dodge?) more
than the average grads?

  I'm genuinely curious!
