*What is happening?*
Starting at 6AM Sunday morning we will be applying software updates to two
servers and rebooting them one at a time.
These servers provide NM, Roaming and Network Self registration. These
services will not be available for the few minutes they take to reboot.
*How long will it take?*
We expect this to take less than 10 minutes per server. We are reserving
additional time in case problems arise.
*Why is this work necessary?*
New security updates have become available. Getting security patches
applied to systems in a timely manner protects all members of the UMS
community.
What happens if the work is not successful?
If there are major issues during the upgrade or the testing and
verification processes, we will rollback to the version currently in use,
resolve the issues, and reschedule the work for a future date.
If there are issues with individual services, we will work to correct the
issues.
