OK, so let's talk complete metaphysical holocaust, let's talk Michigan State
hockey. For those of you in the East who put us at #4 in the Hockey-L poll,
I have some news for you: WE SUCK !!! The only good thing about this game
was that it was over quick. Lake St. had a 3-0 lead before 6 minutes were gone
in the first (in fact, that goal should have been credited to Steve Guolla,
since he essentially put it into the Spartan net).

To give you an idea how Ron Mason felt:
"I thought our guys realized how hard it would be to win up here, but not
enough. Our better players weren't willing to pay the price to get the job
done. In the past, we've had players who could take the bull by the horns
when things weren't going right and not cave in. Tonight, we caved in, period."

To quote Ken Landau, the Spartans were "outskated, outhustled, outworked."
Actually, it was sort of fun listening to Ken try to come up with a more polite
way of saying: WE SUCK !!!

You know it's going to be a bad night when the line that plays the best and
scores the only goal is your fourth line (you know, the checking one) of Scott
Worden, Brian Crane, and Josh Wiegand (a senior and two freshman). So it shouldbe real interesting to see how MSU plays tonight, because their punishment for
getting blown out last night will be to have to play LSSU again tonight. I
don't think you'll see a lack of effort tonight, or Ron may make them walk back
from the Soo.
