This happened in the Ferris at Notre Dame game a few weeks ago. The ND
goaltender lost his stick. It wound up in corner. An ND player gave the
goalie his own stick then retreived the goalie's stick. As soon as he
picked it up and skated with it a penalty was called for "playing with an
illegal stick."
Would have been ok if he just kicked the stick back to the goalie?
