Here's a bit of odd news from the Star Tribune of Minneapolis this morning:
 
  "The Gophers and St Cloud State will play a WCHA game at Target Center
  at 2:05 PM on March 7.  It will be a home game for the Huskies."
 
Target Center is the 17,000 seat arena in downtown Minneapolis which is
home to the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA.  It is located about three
miles from Mariucci Arena, home of the Gophers.  St Cloud is about 70
miles farther away, but a large part of its student body comes from the
Twin Cities.  Given the Gophers success in making big $$$ playing Wisconsin
at Met Center last season, I would imagine that the SCSU athletic department
found the temptation difficult to resist.  There should be a large contingent
of fans from both schools.
