St. Lawrence scored 4 in the second half of the third period to beat Colgate, 4-0.

Mark Armstrong was taken from the ice on a stretcher and back board after a terrible hit from behind into the boards. He was seen moving. The Colgate player, Sean Carty, received a 5 minute major and a game misconduct. SLU's announcers did think it was a terrible hit but they did not think that Carty meant to be vicious. The announcers also said at the end of the game that the doctor has signaled "thumbs up" to them so they thought that indicated that Armstrong would be all right.
