Realizing these North Country games were *cancelled* and not
postponed, how is this going to hurt these teams come selection
time?

UNH is ranked #5 in the USCHO poll and, barring a collapse
in the next two months, will most likely be in the NCAA
tourney. St. Lawrence, currently in 10th place in the ECAC,
would probably need to win the ECAC tournament to make it in.

Clarkson & UML, however, could potentially be on the bubble
(OK, I used a b-ball term - sorry) when it comes to selection
time, presuming that both play well enough to become teams under
consideration. Allow me to present a hypothetical situation:

Mass-Lowell has a solid finish to the regular season and finishes
around 4th or 5th in the HE. They don't win the HE tourney, yet
lose the championship game after upsetting, say, BU or UNH along
the way. But, the committee has to decide between them and, say,
Colorado College (who is also on the bubble). Let's also presume
that CC has played the extra non-conference games (and won both)
that Lowell didn't AND made it to the WCHA title game. Make sense???

Does this present a disadvantage to UML just because they didn't
play those tough NC games? Is there a history of this ever happening?

Curious minds (at least mine) want to know...

Thanks!
