He would be tied for third in the WCHA for short handed goals.  Not for
individuals, mind you, but for teams.

Quite frankly, I thought the cross-checking was very borderline, but I could
have seen giving both of them four for the roughing.
 
It was a very interesting game.  I thought Michigan had the better chances,
but it was certainly more even than the 6-2 score would indicate.  Turco
played well, but the big difference was the Wolverine defense closing down in
front of the net and not allowing good MSU opportunities to turn into great
ones.
 
The game featured two vicious cheap shots that only drew 2-minute minors, one
each way.  Just after the fifth Michigan goal, Chad Alban wielded his stick
like a battleaxe and tried to remove one of Brendan Morrison's ankles.  Ron
Mason promptly removed him, an action that seemed to have at least three good
motivating reasons.  Bobby Hayes later delivered a cross-check to the back of
a Spartan's neck, so it all evened out.
