I noted that SLU managed to move up 5 spots in the latest RPICH by
going up to Maine and losing both games. Overall rating went from
0.4723 to 0.4902 and Opponent's % went to a Div I high of 0.5842.

So I got to thinking... If my son's Mite team suddenly moved to
Division I (ignoring Prop 48 considerations for 8 year olds who
haven't taken SAT's yet) and played an ambititious schedule
consisting only of games with Maine - and losing each by a bazillion
to zip. Would their RPICH rating be

 win% x 0.25 + opp% x 0.50 + oppopp% x 0.25
  0% x 0.25 + .8600 x 0.50 + 0.5055 x 0.25 = 0.5564 ?

Let's see that would put them in 5th (RPICH) place and give them a
spot in the tourney... (:>)
