Here we go again: another year of CCHA press releases for your enjoyment.
I called up the CCHA BBS last night and managed to get this just before
the computer went into the shop (no, *I* didn't break it!). I seemed
to have missed the first one or two releases, though. One was about the
results of the coaches' pre-season poll, so I'll have to dig up the local
paper's account of it, I guess.
I'll be getting the rosters as soon as the BBS is up again.

NOTES
The CCHA RBBS (Remote Bulletin Board System) for IBM compatible computers* will
be on 24 hours a day with updated statistics both team and league, standings,
rosters and the weekly CCHA press release. If any media person, NHL team,
etc. is interested in being signed on to the RBBS, please contact the CCHA
office to obtain the manual.
[*A Macintosh will work, too, naturally. For those who don't remember, I
am lucky enough to have access to the CCHA RBBS even though I am not a
media person or an NHL team. It's not *what* you know, but... ----Keith]
The CCHA Media Guide will be available for purchase at $10 after October 15th.
Anyone interested in purchasing the 1990-91 CCHA Media Guide should send a
check to the CCHA office.
[That address is:
Central Collegiate Hockey Association
1000 South State Street
Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2201
Just for record-keeping, you can say you heard about the media guide from
the COLLEGE HOCKEY MAILING LIST. ----Keith]
The CCHA Digest (a weekly half-hour highlight show of the CCHA) will be aired
on PASS each week preceeding the CCHA Game-of-the-Week telecast. The Digest
will be shown at 7 p.m. followed by the CCHA Game-of-the-Week at 7:30 p.m.
The CCHA Game-of-the-Week on PASS will also air on the swing shift (same night
replay at midnight).
CCHA Awards Change: The CCHA Best Goaltending Tandem award has been changed
to the Top Goaltender Award, which will be given to the netminder with the
lowest goals against average in league play with at least 1,000 minutes played
in CCHA league games.
CCHA Head Coaches Approaching Milestone Wins: In NCAA History, just 18
coaches have won 300 games at one school (Ron Mason is the only CCHA coach to
have won 300 at one school). Three coaches should reach the magic 300 number
this year including two from the CCHA (Jerry Welsh has 288 wins at Ohio State,
while Jerry York has 281 victories at Bowling Green). The third, Rick Comley
of Northern Michigan, has 292 wins for the Wildcats.
All-Time Coaching Win List: Entering the 1990-91 season, the following are
the coaches with the most victories of all-time:
