Six UNH players scored goals, and 12 Wildcats had at least one point as
New Hampshire cruised to a 19-1 victory over Bowdoin in an ECAC league
game played Saturday.
Wendy Tatarouns (5-3-8), Annie Camins (6-0-6), Brandy Fisher (1-5-6),
Heather Reinke (2-3-5), Sara Cross (1-4-5), and Regina Renner (4-0-4) did
most of the damage as New Hampshire outshot Bowdoin 83-8.
Bowdoin goaltender Dagan Klein made 64 saves in the game, the second-most
ever recorded by a Polar Bear and the most recorded in a non-overtime
game. The Polar Bear record is 68 saves, set by Erin Miller in a
four-overtime loss to Rochester Institute of Technology on February 16, 1992.
The 19 goals allowed, 9 goals allowed in the third period, and 83 shots
allowed establish new Bowdoin records. The Polar Bears have now lost
six-straight games, and continue to look for their first ECAC league win.
