Arthur Mintz pointed out my boneheaded math error-- that the possible
scores range from 400-1600 combined, not the 800-1600 I posted.
 
I erroneously took 400 as the minimum score on each test when it should
have been the combined minimum.
 
All due apologies. Shoulda looked more closely at that old test prep book...
 
At any rate, that places a score of 1000 combined at the dead center of
the possible range, which is quite possibly a better than average score.
