Sounds like you'd have to go to your local magistrate and get people
assigned to community service to work as "writers" in this arrangement.
What an awful job! It's got to be nearly impossible to perform this kind of
job and enjoy the game too.
My job as official scorer for Cornell involves a lot of writing, on two
different scoresheets and a bunch of worksheets, and I probably miss a
quarter of the action while I'm writing.
I think if you'd use a tape recorder for the "writer" function, you'd
accomplish the same thing.
