UMASS DARTMOUTH GOALIE HONORED BY ECAC NORTHEAST CONFERENCE
CAPE COD, MA– Sophomore goaltender Jeff Green (Medway, MA/Valley Jr. Warriors) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team has been honored for his performance last weekend.
Green has been named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Northeast Goaltender of the Week. It is the third time this season he has been so honored.
Green allowed one goal in two starts last week as the Corsairs defeated Salve Regina, 7-2 and Western New England, 8-1. He stopped 35 of 36 shots and did not allow a goal in 43 minutes against the Seahawks. Green currently leads the league with a 14-1-1 record, a 1.80 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.
“Jeff has backstopped our team all season long,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “He has helped lead our team to an outstanding record.”
The Corsairs return to action when they visit Southern New Hampshire Saturday night.
