The reason that the Minnesota Not-So Golden Gophers are hated in most
WCHA Arenas is because of the arrogant attitude that many of their fans
have towards other teams and fans. They think that their team walks on
water, that all other programs wish they could be as "great" as the
Gophers, and that any big games that they have lost are the result of bad
luck. After a couple of years of listening to that crap, most fans can't
help but hate the Gophs. Here in Grand Forks, ND, the UND-UM series is
the biggest one of them all. There is a burning desire to beat them, and
send them home without a win if possible. So, Gopher fans, if you don't
like being criticized, then stop being so darn arrogant.
