Yes - St. Lawrence University is located in NY State - in a small
town (Canton, NY pop.7000) which enjoyed a remarkable weekend of hockey
 in which we had

... The Saints 6-3 ECAC Quarterfinal victory over Princeton.

... The Canton Tech Northmen winning the NJCAA National Championship
in a round-robin final tourney with North Country Comm. College,
Minnesota-Crookston, and North Dakota St.-Bottineau. Earning their
12 National title in this division over the past two(+) decades.

... The Canton High School men's team winning their quarterfinal match
(6-4 over Immaculate Heart Central) to advance to the NY State
final four this weekend in Utica.

... Even the Canton Pee Wee Squirts got in on the act, winning their
Sectional Championship to move on to the State Championship Tourney
     in Batavia.

This is putting a definite strain on some local fans who may need
to be at three different championship venues this weekend. Given
the nature of the ECAC line-up in Boston, some folks are just
including that tourney among the 3 NY State championships to
  be determined this weekend.

Congratulations also to the SLU Lady Saints who captured their
third straight ECAC Division III Championship with a 4-2 victory
over Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and finished the
season undefeated (7-0-1) in Division III play.
