Okay, I know this has to be in a FAQ somewhere, but I'm trying
to write up the box from last night's Utah-Utah State game, and I'm
not sure how to count the power plays.

Question 1:
Two Utah players called for two-minute minors on the same
play, leading to a two-minute 5-on-3. One power play or two?

Question 2:
Four USU players called for minors within two and a half
minutes, leading to a short 5-on-4, a looooong 5-on-3, and a short
5-on-4. The starting times of the last two penalties have to be
delayed so that USU keeps three skaters at all times. This counts as
four power plays, right?

Question 3:
A USU player receives a double-minor (two minutes for roughing
and two for high-sticking), and his teammate gets a major penalty a
minute later. I'm counting this as two power plays, assuming that a
double-minor counts as one power play rather than two. (Utah scored
2:07 into the double-minor, so I think that puts them as one-for-two
on power plays as a result of these penalties.)

        Anyone know the definitive answers?

Oh, and how do game DQs and misconducts register in the
penalties/minutes category?
