Dave: Your a tad off on this one. Most "curving" is performed by the
players themselves and generally there is a lot of it going on just
prior to the game. The sticks are fairly legal when delivered. However
most teams have a blow torch in the locker room and the equipment
manager is not the one who uses it.
 
In fact when I left RPI, my gift to the team was a blow torch
