(OK, so it's a day late and maybe a few dollars short. So sue me! :-))
Once again, courtesy of our fine sponsors (What? We have no sponsors? OK,
everybody in the Ad Department is fired!), we bring you the most recent update
to the first annual Hockey-L Regular Season Prediction Contest!
(Imagine confetti falling at this moment. We can't afford it, since we're a
pretty low budget operation. If you would like realism, take some pieces of
paper [various colors preferred], rip them up into small pieces, and then throw
them into the air! Now, wasn't that fun!)
Sorry about that, it's been a long day already.
Anyway, the current conference standings used to determine the point assign-
ments:
HE ECAC CCHA WCHA

1. Teams with unequal numbers of games- Team playing fewer games rated higher
2. Teams with equal numbers of games but unequal number of wins- Team with
more wins rated higher
3. Teams with identical records- a. Head to head
b. Record in common games
c. Goal differential in common games
Two ties went to Item 3. Union and Cornell have identical records in the ECAC
and N. Michigan and St. Cloud have identical records in the WCHA. Both ties
were decided by record in common games, as shown below (Union and Cornell have
not played each other this season, while NMU-SCSU are 1-1 against each other):

All that said and done, we have a new leader. The new leader is.........
LANCE HARRY
who moved up from second to first after the Pre-Turkey update. Our former
leader, the ever-dangerous Bob Constantine, fell to fifth. Our big mover of
the month is Kristen Robinson, who climbed all the way up from a tie for 53rd
to a tie for 14th.
