Just wondering if any MSU fans can send me a few words on what kind of
year Bryan Smolinski had. Boston picked him first in the draft last
year and we were talking about future Bruins, and I didn't know much
about how he is progressing. Thanks, Spartan fans.
Here's a thought: what if NCAA teams could trade players? I know, it
goes against the whole concept of amateur athletics, schooling, etc.
and I don't support the idea even a little bit, but hey, it IS the
off-season, the cold fridge league if you will. What opposing players
would you love to have on your team and what's a reasonable package
you'd put together to get them? (Nothing like trading scholarships,
cash, etc. allowed.) You can look at this in (at least) two ways:
what superstar a la Emma/Beattie would you love to see in your team's
uniform, or, what role player(s) does your team need to push it over
the top? Maybe a top goalie, a solid defenseman, etc. or maybe you
want to make a blockbuster 10-player deal. :-) Imagine that players
would be eligible immediately to play for their new teams, but they
would still have the same amount of eligibility they had before any
deal. So if you deal for a senior, you'll only have him for a year,
but he might be enough to win you a championship. Any ideas?
