>All this talk about how good hockey East is. What about the WCHA?
>Minnesota-Duluth, Northern Michigan, Wisconson, Colorado College. Just
>to name a few that can beat any team out east. Look at last year in
>theplayoffs, Northern beat Harvard. You hockey east fans play your
>little wimpy clutch and grab, while we play good old fashioned hard
>playing hockey. Look out come tournament time how many teams from the
>WCHA make it.!
I'm sure this is purely for flame-generating purposes but there
are a few facts which should be mentioned.
1) The Harvard "NY Rangers" Crimson are in the ECAC not
Hockey East (ok, so there was a little editorial
comment in there :).
2) A pair of Hockey East teams made it to the final four
and one took the national title. Zero teams from your
"awesome" WCHA made it.
Now before any of the rational WCHA fans out there jump on me,
I do agree that the WCHA has good hockey and, top to bottom, is
probably second only to the CCHA. And I do realize that also
zero ECAC teams made it to the final four.
I was just informing this (ahem) person about some facts he was
omitting.
