Not what one would call a well played game, but Michigan escapes K'zoo with
the victory. Gordon (the best goaltender in the CCHA in my humble and
biased opinion) play well, but not great. He didn't have much of a chance
on the power play goals, but he could have stopped Colin Ward's hat trick
(which tied the game at 3-3).
Heading into UIC on Saturday, Michigan's Jason Botterill (Fr), Mike Knuble
(Jr) and Brendan Morrison (Fr) each have 7 goals in 7 games.

Michigan 7 ILLINOIS-CHICAGO 1
Gordon wins his third in a row for the injured Steve Shields. All five UM
freshman forwards find the net, which means Botterill and Morrison each have
8 in 8 games. Michigan moves to 7-0-1, 5-0-1 in the CCHA. Assuming an LSSU
win on Saturday, the top of the CCHA looks like:
LSSU 6-2-0 12
BGSU 5-0-1 11
MICH 5-0-1 11
