Good Day All,
I believe I can answer the question raised by Andria Hunter regarding why
Erin Whitten would say she's never seen Manon play, when in fact they faced
off against each other in Woman's World Championships a few years back. I know
a player for the US team from that 8-0 game, she played for Harvard Woman's
Hockey, her name is Sandra Whyte, and I asked her one time how good Manon
was? Her response, "We don't know, we never put any pressure on her, or got
any shots that you could call a threat. We were dominated." Perhaps Erin was
so busy trying to stop the Canadiens, that she really never got to see who
was opposing her except when they lined up to start the game? Just a thought.
Regards,
Jeff
P.S. I know when I play hockey, I couldn't tell you who the opponents were whilemy brother remembers everyone he ever faced. I remember them by their moves.
