Dave Hinman, a 3rd line wing with the 1971 Wildcats, passed away from a
heart attack on June 21st at the age of 64.

A real environmentally conscious, off-the-grid kind of guy, I remember him
as I had a chance to play in a few pickup games with him two summers after I
graduated. I was in full uniform, all he had besides stick, gloves and
skates was his shin pads he wore under his coveralls. I chuckled until he
just blew past me like the wind. It was great fun skating with someone at a
much higher level than myself, and I learned from him.

A really decent person, he was a school teacher and a sheep shearer. R.I.P.
Dave.
