First, I just want to say "bye bye" to all of the Hockey-L folks. My
husband and I decided even before Denver that 2008 would be our final
Frozen Four. So we pulled out all the stops for Denver, stayed in
Colorado an extra long time, thoroughly enjoyed our vacation
(snowshoeing in Estes Park and golf in Colorado Springs, and everything
in between). As long-time UNH fans, we have grown over the years to
admire and respect and wish the best for another Hockey East team,
Boston College, so we were thrilled with the outcome in Denver!

We have also decided not to renew our UNH season tickets. At first, we
thought "gee, with the $$ we'll save, we can play a lot of golf!" ($912
for UNH tickets, no Frozen Four expenses....) but the reality is, we'll
be using that money toward heating the house this coming winter.

Hey, everyone, have a great time in DC! I spent a week there in May for
a professional conference. Stayed in Chinatown, which is right around
the corner from the Verizon. The Renaissance hotel is not far from
there, and there is a great food court across the pedestrian way where
on weekdays you can find very good hot breakfasts and very good lunches
that are not expensive at all. There is a Spanish restaurant (La Tosca?
Tasca?) that has a great tapas menu. At the risk of being sued, my
personal recommendation would be to avoid the Red Roof Inn (500 block of
H street). 'Nuf said. If anyone wants specifics, feel free to email
me. My very highest recommendation is to make a reservation at
Marrakesh, a Moroccan restaurant on New York Avenue. Plan to spend the
evening, as dinner and entertainment takes several hours.

Last, I have lost the email instructions on how to unsubscribe from
Hockey-L. Could someone please send me those?

Thanks.
