Union's slide continued tonight at Achilles Rink, with Mass Lowell
taking a 5-3 win. Union was very lucky to come out of the first
period trailing just 2-0, then they scored one in the second to make
it 2-1 after 2. But each time Union came within one, Lowell answered
to regain the 2-goal lead. The final goal came into an empty net in
the final 30 seconds. Lowell consistently broke up or intercepted
Union passes all night, completely frustrating the Union offense for 2
periods. Things improved for the Dutchmen in the third, but they
still had trouble getting their passes completed cleanly. They
certainly don't look at all like the team we saw playing so well back
in November. With almost all ECAC games remaining, they'll need to
get back to their winning ways soon.

Union goals were by Alex Todd, Drew Taylor, and Kurt Goodjohn.
Brandon Snee played his usual good game, and was especially sharp
during Lowell's second period power plays.

Union is now 6-8-3. The homestand continues this weekend with visits
by St. Lawrence and Clarkson, both looking to move up in the ECAC
standings after slow starts.
