Technically, there are 2 Omahans on the Lancers, The Ortmeyer(sp) brothers,
but I agree with you point..sort of...
 
I guess you're ignoring our stint as an IHL city years ago (Omaha Knights),
where players like, oh I don't know, GORDIE HOWE played and someone by the
name of Scotty Bowman coached(even if he only coached for like a month for
Omaha).
 
Lancers are not the only reason hockey is popular here, though they are an
important part. We're college hockey newbies, but we're no where near hockey
newbies at all.
