Thanks to Kevin Yetman for the summary of the Lowell-Elmira game. I don't
have anything on the championship game other than the score, but here are a
few (yeah, right!) details on Elmira's consolation win:

Elmira 6, Army 5 (OT)
Elmira's first win of the season (and first win over a Division I team
in who knows how long) did not come easy, as the Soaring Eagles blew a
5-1 lead before netting the game-winner in overtime. The Eagles were
up 3-0 nine minutes into the game, on goals by Joe Caswell, Greg Moore,
and Gord Law. Army's Rick Berube notched a power-play goal at the
16:06 mark, but Elmira regained its three-goal lead at 2:07 of the
second, courtesy of Moore. Twenty-one seconds later, Caswell scored
for the second time, and at that point, Army goalie Brandon Hayes was
     lifted for Scott Boyle.

All of a sudden, the Cadets got fired up, and Mark Stachelski picked up
the first of what would be four unanswered goals at 10:25 of the
second, on an unassisted tally. Berube made it 5-3 with his second
power-play goal of the night three minutes later. Scott Tardif then
brought the Cadets to within one at 11:52 of the third on another
power-play goal, as Army's man-up unit went 3 for 7 on the night. With
the Eagles clinging to a 5-4 lead, Army's Rick Randazzo stole the puck
in the Elmira zone and shovelled the puck to Ross Erzar, who beat
goalie Dave Laudato with 1:13 left in regulation. However, Caswell was
able to complete his hat trick with 3:39 gone in the extra session, on
Elmira's first and only shot in OT. Laudato finished the game with 28
saves; Hayes had eight and Boyle, who had a terrific night, wound up
     with 18.

Elmira will be taking on St. Bonaventure in its home opener Tuesday night,
in what should be a somewhat easier contest than either of the two the
Eagles played at Providence.
